Related Regional Programs

The Commemorative Events will include a variety of conventions and forums, including Nara 2010: Conference on the Future of East Asia, a core component of the commemorative events of the 1300th anniversary of Nara Heijo-kyo Capital.
These events will further friendship and exchange with communities throughout Japan and the region that have historically enjoyed connections with Nara.
Additionally, a variety of forums and pre-events got under way in 2008 to lay the foundation for the Commemorative Events by increasing interest in Nara and encouraging people to visit the area.
