Commemoration of the 1300th anniversary of Nara Heijo-kyo Capital will feature an integrated selection of exhibits and events as well as international conferences and other attractions.
These will be held throughout Nara Prefecture with the extensive support and participation of the East Asian countries and cities with which ancient Japan enjoyed cultural exchange.
In addition to celebrating and giving thanks for the continuous arc of development that has shaped Japanese history and culture, the program will help visitors to know about Japan-past, present, and future-using Nara, where Japan had its beginnings, as a living text.
